Originally from Richlandtown, Pennsylvania, Shannon currently lives in the Boston area where she attends Emerson College's MFA poetry program. She is a full-time proofreader for a financial consulting firm, a poetry reader for Ploughshares, and a book reviewer for the Ploughshares blog.
